When Weather Permits Barrier Island Fishing Has Been Excellent!!!!!!!!!

Made a run to the barrier islands on Saturday with comeback clients Nick Ward and Robert "Butter" Summers, and man did they have fun with the redfish.

Yes it was rough and the water turbid, but we found a nice pocket out of the wind, and it was game on with all sorts of fish.

Redfish, Florida pompano, sheepshead, black drum, bluefish, and a big speckled trout kept them quite busy.

Final tally: 8 beautiful redfish, 3 sheepshead, 2 black drum, 1 4-pound speckled trout, 1 Florida pompano, and 2 big bluefish. All things considered it was a nice catch, the guys went home sun burned, and with a box full of fine fillets.

The guys followed me back to the house where we took care of the catch (Nick like to help), talked of our trip, and planned more adventures down the road. Great clients, a fine catch, and well, it just doesn't get any better than that.

Take care all, and be sure to book your trip aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS when you're in Biloxi, MS. I'll be waiting for your call, and ready to go!

PS: Be sure to pick up the latest copy of Shallow Water Angler, I guided the camera crew last June to some fine barrier island wade fishing, and a fine article made the magazine this month too.
