Katrina Reef in Mississippi Sound, Mississippi 04-07-09 06:00 AM ( about 2 hours )
My client yesterday was Kevin Close of Texas, and on another cold and windy morning we managed to scratch up a mess of fish. Ended up at the Katrina Reef where Kevin boxed 20 or more white trout and ground mullet.
However, the highlight of the morning came when Kevin hooked into, and then lost a monster redfish. But moments later he was hooked up again, and 30 minutes later after chasing the big fish in rough seas, a huge redfish in the 40-inch class was boated.
Folks, as soon as this weather settles look for fantastic fishing out of Biloxi, MS. The Mississippi Sound and barrier islands are loaded with fish, and soon as the winds settle and waters clear, well, all sort of fish will be filling the ice chests.
