Back Bay of Biloxi & Katrina Reef, Mississippi 03-15-09 06:00 AM ( about 6 hours )
Since my last report on March 14th I made 7 other trips, and all were conducted in heavy winds and murky water conditions.
However, my clients fished hard, and after finding a few "holey holes", well, they all managed to catch a good mess of fish on each outing.
The catches were diverse including: black drum (some in the 40 to 60-pound class), redfish, flounders, sheepshead, white trout, ground mullet, and a few speckled trout.
Even saw 2 tripletail, one on the 19th and 21st, and a client had one on before it spit the treble hook some how. But that's a great sign, and we'll catch our share aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS before the summer is over.
Bottom line, fish are out there and more are coming in. Once this weather settles down I expect plenty of fish to fill the ice chests.
Check out the pics of the recent catches in the album, some good stuff, and happy anglers.
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
