I got a last minute deal to go on the Ranger for a 2 day Albacore trip. I arrived in Westport late Monday night, and the boat left the docks around midnight.

After a rough night, we started fishing at the crack of dawn 50 mi offshore. After a couple of hours searching, it was fish on. The weather calmed, and we were on fish for the rest of the day. We had 6 fishermen, and over 150 albacore that day. After it was dark, Kenny took out his squid jigs and we had a blast catching Humboldt's up to 20lb.

After a good night sleep, we finish off the second day around 1pm with limits of 25 albacore a person.
