AREA: Mouth of the Back Bay of Biloxi & Tchoutacabouffa River
BAIT: Live shrimp from Fort Bayou Bait Camp in Ocean Springs, MS
TACKLE: Shimano Spinning Reels, St. Croix Rods, 10-Pound-Test Yo-Zuri Hybrid, 25 & 30-Pound-Test Seaguar Fluorocarbon Leader, 2/0 Gamakatsu Octopus Hooks, 1 & 2-Ounce Sinkers
BOAT: 2170 Blazer Bay & 150 hp Yamaha 4-Stroke
TACTICS: Bottom fishing over structure with a simple drop bottom rig

AREA: Mouth of the Back Bay of Biloxi
TACKLE: Shimano Spinning Reels, St. Croix Rods, 10-Pound-Test Yo-Zuri Hybrid, 25 & 30-Pound-Test Seaguar Fluorocarbon leader, 2/0 Gamakatsu Octopus Hooks, and 1 & 2-Ounce Weights

By the way, the spring run on sand sea trout "white trout" and southern kingfish "ground mullet" will be taking place by mid March, so be sure to get your kids in on this fish catching action.

Although they average under a pound, well, there is no size or number limits, and they make excellent eating. At times a fish on every cast, and on light spinning gear it's simply a blast!

Hello Stumpy: Yes, that was a big fish, and to make it even more exciting the mutant was landed on 10-pound-test Yo-Zuri Hybrid.
