Launched from the Villages Marina and went to our secret spots loaded with brush piles off a point today. Will include these dates in February as well.

All of these fish were caught off the point near brush loaded with chum and blood punch bait was the hot ticket for all of this month of February 2008. Vertical presentation with 1 oz. weight a foot off the bottom. Reason why we catch so much fish is that we all use at least 3 rod-n-reels each and this permeates the water with blood and the cats just go wild at this time of the year. This is how we fish the winter months on Palestine.

Remember that in the winter the fish like the blood and in the spring they like the mixture of blood/cheese and in the summer they like the cheese only. Have tried the garlic flavor punch bait but had to mix some blood with it to be effective.
