Biloxi, MS - Hot Inshore And Barrier Island Bite Continues!

August 9, 2008
W400

Katrina Reef & Ship Island, Mississippi 08-09-08 06:00 AM ( about 6 hours )

Had the extreme pleasure to guide Casey and Amanda Wood of Texas, as well as their 5-year-old son Ethan on a non stop fish catching spree.

Started out at the Katrina Reef where they immediately hammered the sand sea trout a.k.a. "white trout" and southern kingfish a.k.a. "ground mullet". By 9 o'clock they boxed 140 of the tasty bottom dwellers, and had a blast doing so.

Gave them an option to make a quick run to Ship Island for a shot at Florida pompano, and they decided to give it a try. It was a good call, and Amanda had the hot hand by landing two of the beautiful and delicious silver-hued fish.

Plenty of hard fighting and high-leaping ladyfish added to the action too. With a box full of edible fish we were back at the D'Iberville Marina by noon. Just another wonderful day of great light tackle fishing in south Mississippi aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS, your ultimate family fishing guide.
