Louisiana Marsh South of Pass Christian, Mississippi, Mississippi 06-01-08 06:00 AM ( about 6 hours )
Entered the marsh where just a few days before the giant redfish were swarming, and guess what, they were back again. On light spinning gear my clients, the Hugh Robinson group, managed to each land one of the brutes.
After that went to a big open bay full of working gulls, and they proceeded to toss popping corks with soft-plastic baits suspended below and haul in the fish.
Caught a live well slam full of nice speck and white trout, and by 11 o'clock it was so hot Hugh decided to pull out of the fish and head for the Pass Christian Small Craft Harbor.
On the way home we passed a floating log, and below was a fine 8-pound tripletail. Tossed it a dead shrimp, and Jimmy Lee of Meridian, MS had landed his first tripletail. What a way to end a fantastic day!
Remember...life is short...let's fish!
Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
