Katrina Reef Delivers Big Catch

July 21, 2008
W400

Katrina Reef, Mississippi Sound, Mississippi 07-21-08 06:00 AM ( about 4 hours )

Had the pleasure to guide Ed Perry, his daughter Veronica, and her boyfriend Cody, comeback clients from Texas. Didn't even get the boat on a plane out of the channel when we spotted gulls working in the channel.

Proceeded to toss popping corks and soft-plastics, and they hammered the white trout, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, ladyfish, and small specks. The sun wasn't even up yet, and they had 35 edible fish in the live well.

Headed to the Kartina Reef where they continued to catch and/or release fish non stop. What great light tackle action! There they hammered the white trout and ground mullet, and ended up with over 100 white trout/ground mullet, 2 Spanish mackerel, and a few specks in the box. Left them biting!

Ed said I continue to set the bar high for his family outings, but no pressure there. Another wonderful morning of light tackle fishing in south Mississippi. Come join the fish catching fun aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS, it's a blast!

Regards,
Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS

Wow, what do you do with 100 fish? I can't even imaging cleaning them!
