Early this afternoon I took off from work in Anchorage with a buddy Tim and his son who just came back from Korea with the U.S. Army before he heads south next month for his next assignment. Arrived at Kenai River at 4 p.m. had to wait til 4:40 to get our turn in the water. We fished about three feet from shore flipping yarn and 2/0 hooks (OWNER Brand-only way to fish!) and I had my limit of three beautiful sockeye salmon at 5:50 p.m. and had many hookups. Finally all of us were out of there with our limits (9 total) by 8 p.m. Not fast and furious fishing, but steady enough to keep you encouraged. Little bit of mist/rain. Good fishing everyone. FISH ON!
