    CHARTER FISHING

Westport has the largest charter boat fleet in the state. All you need is a fishing license and the price of admission for world-class salmon or tuna fishing:

If it were me, I’d probably pay a little extra to go on a six-pack boat or better yet a 4-pack, but all these boats produce well when the fish are in. Also, look for the faster boats. A 12 knot boat is 50% faster than an 8 knot boat.

Bottomfishing is always a sure-thing and rockfish and ling taste better than salmon (IMO;-)

My top recommendation for a party boat is Captain Kevin on the Gold Rush

    DAILY REPORT FROM THE CHARTERS

Typically private boats trolling do better than the big party boats mooching.
